Never think that anything that happens in your life or anyone who comes into your life is insignificant. This debate is above and beyond the level of whether you like it or her/him or not, respectively.
Any experience whether it is a situational condition or a difficult time handling a person, leaves a mark in your mind, carving an initial in your memory,as a symbol of verification that they had been there. You can’t ever forget it so it matters how you want to remember or be remembered.
That situation or person sets up a standard of what and who they are…Like their most important trait or whatever they are good at!
A standard that you’ll thereon measure up everyone and everything against, considering it is the same trait or scenario that needs a judgement.
So, while talking about setting standards, you’ll remember me when you have to see someone’s loyalty, faithfulness or patience and sacrifice.
And I’ll remember that in a given scenario, the lesser evil does not become a better option, no matter how hard and for however long they might try to sell it to you.
Objectivity calls for it, for your better judgement. It calls for your moral values on which you took every decision in your life and the rules by which you ruled out people and opportunities…..the foundations that you stood on…..all your life!
Oh for god’s sake, it is not a matter of correcting a person who is blindly stubborn… It is about right and wrong.
So when the time comes and you have to face a situation, where going with the flow or surrendering your belief will nullify your existence with all that you ever was, and all that you ever did, becoming wrong and questionable….you need to take a breathe, see it through and think a 100 times before taking another step…the stakes are really high!
It is your ENTIRE life and your ENTIRE being, up against suppression and arrogance.
The choice then narrows down to being strong and go on ahead of this ironic situation or give in and be someone you are not for the rest of your life.
Well the question is, can you do it? Do you have the moral conscience strong enough to help you sustain or would you be
brave enough to let it be their way?
Here are a couple of stanzas that will answer the question:
Everyone is just waiting.
That’s not for you!
Somehow you’ll escape
all that waiting and staying
You’ll find the bright places
where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping,
once more you’ll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you’re that kind of a guy!
Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You’ll be as famous as famous can be,
with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.
Except when they don’t
Because, sometimes they won’t.
I’m afraid that some times
you’ll play lonely games too.
Games you can’t win
’cause you’ll play against you.
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
you’ll be quite a lot.
And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance
you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
that can scare you so much you won’t want to go on.
But on you will go
though the weather be foul.
On you will go
though your enemies prowl.
On you will go
though the Hakken-Kraks howl.
Onward up many
a frightening creek,
though your arms may get sore
and your sneakers may leak.
On and on you will hike,
And I know you’ll hike far
and face up to your problems
whatever they are.
You’ll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life’s
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
In the bigger picture, every stage becomes a stepping stone and you will go on as you approach it, it may seem like a big mountain but as you reach to its top, you’ll find it nothing but the ground that you stand on….looking ahead is a path, looking up, there is another sky and what it used to be, it won’t be anymore…
Moving up ahead, you’ll realize the significance of the necessary roughness required for your personal growth, leaving you in utter gratitude to have gone through it all. It is of course besides the point of winning and losing.
Remember to be thankful for being given a chance to polish yourself to be a better person.
For what is a diamond? but a piece of coal until it is burnt and bruised, carved and cutted, slashed and thrashed, rubbed and polished and made into a valuable, magnificent solitaire! 🙂
